Nuremberg Castle and Museum Opening Hours & Ticket Information

Imperial Castle :

Opening hours

April to September: daily 9 am-6 pm

October to March: daily 10 am-4 pm

last entry: approx. 60 minutes before the stated closing time

The Imperial Castle is only closed on:

1 January, Shrove Tuesday, 24/ 25/ 31 December.

Admission Fees 2025: (Palas with double chapel/ Imperial Castle Museum + Deep Well + Sinwell Tower) 9 Euros Tickets can be paid for in cash or by card (EC/ EUROCARD/ MasterCard/ VISA). Children under 18 are admitted free of charge.    (Ticket price - Admission Fee are not included in the tour price )  

Castle Gardens

April to October:

from 8 am at the earliest until nightfall (8 pm at the latest)

November to March: closed

Maria Sibylla Merian Garden

6 April to September: Sundays + Mondays 2 pm-6 pm

October: Sundays + Mondays 2 pm-4 pm

November to 5 April: closed
